Electronic Communications Act §2-7b regulates a supplier’s use of “cookies” (cookies). Point Taken AS has adapted all its services to current legislation. 

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded and stored on the user’s computer when the user opens a website. Cookies are used, for example, to store login details, shopping cart in the online store or register how often the user moves around the website. Cookies can be useful for both the owner and the user of a website. The owner of the website can customize the service based on information stored. For the user, visits to the website can be experienced as more user-friendly and customized. Most modern browsers accept cookies automatically by default, but you can choose to change the settings in the browser so that cookies are not accepted.

What is Personal Data/Information

Personal information that is processed

Point Taken does not collect personal information such as date of birth and social security number, or information about personal payment cards.

In addition, we do not collect any Sensitive Data such as information about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data and any information about criminal convictions and offences.

How information is obtained

Point Taken collects information through forms on our website or by sending us emails. We may automatically collect data from you as you use our website using cookies and similar technologies.

How is the information stored?

Information obtained through forms on is stored in our CRM system.

We have put in place security measures to prevent these data from being accidentally lost, used, altered, disclosed, or accessed without authorization. We allow access to your personal data only to those employees and partners who have a business need to know such data. They will only process your personal information on our instructions and they must keep it confidential.

We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you immediately and any applicable regulator of a breach if we are legally required to.

How is the information deleted?

Information is deleted on request by contacting our customer center. 

Disclosure of information to third parties?

The personal information is not shared with outside third parties, but Point Taken may use subcontractors to deliver all or part of the website. Such subcontractors may process personal information on behalf of Point Taken.

We require these subcontractors to whom we transfer your data to respect the security of your personal data, to act on our instructions, and to treat it in accordance with the law.


As a user of our website, you have the right to demand access to the personal information we process about you and how it is processed. You can also demand access, correction, transfer, deletion and restrictions in the processing of personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Act. Where the processing of personal data is based on consent, you can withdraw the consent at any time.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
